funky carpets::Thanks everyone for the advice.
Since i sent this to ohdeedoh i have done the followingremoved the humidifier since i read that they can cause more problems than the help they may give.
I also had the humidifer up high about two feet off the ground.
Carpet cleaned with oxyclean and the carpet smells good.
Used a nontoxic allergy powder as i was nervous about all the things i read about humidity festering dust mites!
Called our landlord to look into and they are sending someone to take a look under the carpet.
I have seen my ped for 3 sick appts regarding it.
Put his crib on an incline to help with his congestion.
More helpful i think than the humidifer.
And lastly, this is a reminder of how much i loathe carpet and when we buy our next house will not have an inch of it in there.
